Hey Family and Friends!
We hope the fall season finds you comfortable and safe!
Part of our Thanksgiving tradition includes starting the day participating in a Turkey Trot. This year, our regular run isn’t happening, but we aren’t going to let that stop us from starting the holiday on our right (and left) foot.
We want to invite you to meet up at Lake Murray to run the first (and hopefully last) Lake Murray Turkey Trot. At 8am, we will start at the parking lot entrance gate near the ball fields, drop onto the lake and make a left. Just past the Osprey nest, make a u-turn and head back to the fence. Air tap the target and make your way back to where you started. 5K in the bag.
Our “regular” Turkey Trot includes donations to a local food bank. We are holding onto this as well. Lila Mercer designed a t-shirt for us. The shirts are for sale through Custom Ink You will order directly from Custom Ink and they will ship to you. The fundraiser begins today and will close October 28 to allow for the shirts to land on-time. All funds raised from the shirt sales will go to the San Diego Food Bank.
As much as we’d like to have a rager, we are trying to keep this event safe and comfortable to all. Feel free to share this with your close friends and family, and please keep it off the socials. If Thanksgiving morning doesn’t work for you, consider running it at anytime during the Thanksgiving weekend!
